Endura-Nylon Fabric: Bright Color That Flies in Light Wind

Endura-Nylon is a heavyweight, outdoor-rated nylon chosen for how it looks and how it flies.

  • 200-denier nylon made with DuPont® SolarMax® fiber, widely used for outdoor flags
  • Aniline-dyed for rich, lustrous color
  • Treated to resist fading in strong Texas sun
  • Fast-drying and lightweight, so it flies in the slightest breeze
  • All-weather, 100% Made in the USA

Built Where Flags Wear Out First

The fly end, the edge farthest from the pole, whips in the wind and frays long before the rest of the flag shows wear. Eder reinforces that edge with rows of stitching that increase with the size of the flag. The diagrams below show the fly-end stitching for each size range, from 3' x 5' up to 20' x 38'.

Which Size Texas Flag Do I Need?

A common guideline is a flag whose fly (length) is roughly one-quarter to one-third the height of your flagpole.

Flagpole Height Typical Flag Size
Wall or porch mount 2' x 3'
20 ft 3' x 5' or 4' x 6'
25 to 30 ft 4' x 6' or 5' x 8'
40 ft 6' x 10' or 8' x 12'
50 ft 8' x 12' or 10' x 15'
60 ft and taller 10' x 15' to 12' x 18' and larger

Nylon or Polyester for Your Texas Flag?

Nylon is the lighter fabric and flies well in light wind, which makes it a favorite for homes, schools, and businesses with sheltered poles. If your flagpole sits in an exposed spot with steady wind, compare our polyester Texas flags. Flying the U.S. flag alongside it? Browse our American flags.

Caring for Your Texas Flag

  • Take it down before bad weather. High winds and extreme weather shorten a flag's life. If it gets wet, spread it out to dry completely before folding.
  • Wash gently. Hand-wash with mild detergent and cold water, rinse with cold water, and lay flat to air dry.
  • Repair early and rotate. Mend the first signs of fraying and keep a backup flag.
  • Keep it clear of obstacles. Walls, gutters, trees, and wires can quickly tatter a flag.
